What did you say?

My two-year old is currently raiding the fridge like a teenage boy, pulling out everything from week-old macaroni to a package of raw, ground turkey.

So I ask him the obvious question, "Are you hungry?"

To which he responds (in his peculiar toddler dialect)...

"I'm hoyney.  I'm hoyney.  Mama, I'm hoyney."

  1. He was hoyney, huh? You can't help but laugh, right? One of my 2-year old toddlers always mispronounces the word truck (if you get my drift) and I can't help but crack up every time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog...hope you'll be back again soon!

  2. I bet you're explaining that one all the time! My toddler also loves to talk about the ocean (though he only saw it once, months ago), but it comes out exactly like Oh, sh**. Since there's never any context I have to quickly tell people what he's actually saying.

    Thanks for visiting!
